Scolari Frustrated

Luiz Felipe Scolari said "frustration" was his overriding emotion as the curtain fell on his time as Portugal coach with the 3-2 quarter-final defeat by Germany.

'Failed in promise'
The Brazilian, whose five-and-a-half year reign ended with Portugal's UEFA EURO 2008™ elimination, said he had failed to achieve his goal of guiding the team to the semi-finals. "My feelings are of frustration," Scolari said. "I failed in my promise to be in the last four. That is my feeling right now. But maybe later – over dinner tonight or when I get home to Portugal – what I will feel is that I am leaving behind many friends. I am leaving a country where I was welcomed warmly. I have great admiration for Portugal and there will be a part of me always linked with Portugal."
